Now is the time for action

The post-election chaos has left America nearly paralyzed. It’s easy to throw up our hands, give up the fight, and do nothing but wait.

That is exactly what we must not do right now.

Once every legal vote is counted, we will have a result. Conservatives must be ready to go into overdrive advancing and preserving our principles. It won’t be easy. In fact, the fight will be long and hard.

Because the Left will have the same exact idea. And you only have to look at Portland and Kenosha to know they will stop at nothing to get their way. Their goal? To intimidate everyone into accepting their agenda and accepting the yoke of socialist values—no matter whether the rest of the nation agrees with them or not.

Now is the time to stand together.

The Left can’t catch us unprepared. To prevail in the challenge laid out in front of us, we must make sure we stay united and unwavering in our goals as a country, and as conservatives. Heritage has fought for the interests of the American people for nearly 50 years and through 12 presidential elections, no matter who occupies the White House or who holds the majority in Congress—and now is no different. Heritage has a five-point plan that lays the groundwork for the end of 2020 and the start of 2021:

• Reignite the most fundamental conservative ideals:  Smaller government, lower taxes, and slashed spending. We need to get our nation back on track!
• Reestablish respect for the constitution and the rule of law.  Americans are fed up with destruction and lawlessness.  We know the difference between peace and violence!
• Restore free speech to all Americans.  Conservatives are shouted down and even met with violence for expressing their opinions.  This ends, starting now!
• Stop the war on religion.  Religious freedom was foremost on the Founders’ mind when they formed the Constitution. We need to value it just as much!
• Secure America domestically with strong borders and the best equipped and best trained military in the world.  We must fully fund our armed forces and defund so-called sanctuary cities! 

It’s time to fight, and fight hard, for the freedoms that make life in America worth living. To make that happen we need you.
